Research

In my PhD
project, I aim to generate a single-nucleus RNA-seq reference atlas of the
lower airway wall from patients with diverse clinical presentations of asthma
and healthy controls. Using this resource, we will identify and characterize
differences in cell-type composition, transcriptional programs, and
intercellular communication, and stratify patients based on shared
compositional, transcriptomic, and signalling pathway features. This reference
framework will subsequently be leveraged to interpret and quantitatively assess
the biological fidelity of in vitro air-liquid-interface models.
